It all started some years ago when he ran over the first mandolin he ever bought with his truck. Little did he know that his life was about to change forever. That bit of fate would lead him to meet Doug Unger and later, Don MacRostie—both legends in the luthier world. Both their friendship and tutelage, along with a healthy dose of determination on Mat’s part led him to where he is today.
